January is always Energy Month at Dayton IFMA and 2019 is no different! Join us on Thursday 1/24 for a great, interactive presentation called Top Building Comfort and Energy Performance Strategies for 2019. You will learn strategies that you can actually implement in 2019 to help drive costs and energy usage down, and drive efficiencies and savings up! We have two local experts lined up to speak to us and answer questions specifically about the following subjects:

  • Cogeneration/Combined Heat and Power
  • Optimization and Tune-up of Existing Systems
  • Managing Building Pressure and Ventilation
  • Scheduling and Temperature Control
  • LED Lighting
  • Utility & Tax Incentives for the Above Projects
  • Efficiency Based Project Funding

In addition to our two speakers, Lyle Garrison with DP&L and Kirk Barrett with Vectren will provide an update on Rebate Program Updates for 2019.

Speaker Bio

Ryan’s career began over 10 years ago as one of the very first members of Heapy’s LEED & Energy Services Department.  His work has produced a positive impact on hundreds of buildings totaling well over 20 million square feet.  As Operations Manager, he guides 35 highly technical staff who provide Heapy clients with Sustainability, Energy and Commissioning Services.  His efforts are the front line when it comes to Heapy Engineering continuously fulfilling its Mission and Vision to be “A World Leader in Reducing the Energy Impact of the Built Environment.”  With a professional and engaging attitude, Ryan leads both his team and clients toward a more sustainable and energy efficient future.

A University of Dayton Mechanical Engineering Graduate and Dayton native, Ryan is recognized amongst his colleagues as a people-focused leader with a strong attention to detail and a highly motivated work ethic.  Ryan is a frequent lecturer on Sustainability and Building Performance, and has provided LEED AP training to over 500 people.  Ryan is Past President of Dayton IFMA, and holds Board of Directors positions with Dayton BOMA and WCOAEE.

Speaker Bio

Josh is an experienced Project Development Engineer with a strong background in energy solutions. Since graduating with a Master’s Degree in Renewable and Clean Energy from the University of Dayton, he has grown with the energy efficiency industry, working as the Director of Project Development for two rapidly growing energy services company. Josh has expertise in forging comprehensive energy solutions for projects of varying scope, successfully implementing over $60 million in energy conservation projects.
