Join us for this great, interactive session on creating a disaster plan.  Is your facility and are your employees ready if disater strikes?  Do you have the tools and training as a facility manager to create a plan for employee safety, an emergency contact plan in case of disaster, and a facility safety capital plan?  Has executive leadership assigned this responsibility to you anyway? Becky and John, our speakers, will leave you with some great information on how to start creating disaters plans for the facilites that you lead.  They will also leave you with some first steps and action items to take back to the workplace.  Becky and John will join us again in November for Part 2 of this series to help you apply more specific detail to your facility and employee disater plans.

 

Event Speakers:

Becky Edgren is the owner of PuroClean Emergency Services which specializes in emergency water, fire, mold and biohazard clean-up and restoration services for residential and commercial clients.  Becky has owned her PuroClean franchise for ten years and services the Dayton, Springfield and Cincinnati markets.  Becky regularly teaches continuing education classes focusing on property damage, ethics, hoarding and business disaster planning for insurance agents locally and across the country.  She has a passion for helping business owners safeguard their people and property through emergency planning and training and is happy to help owners develop customized plans.  Becky has a BA from Capital University and an MBA from Capella University.

John Pawelski worked for the Dayton police department for 18 years on patrol, and special protection details including presidential campaigns, KKK rallies, black panther protests, and many politically charged assignments. He started a security/personal protection company in 1995 and after retiring from DPD called Moonlight Security. In that capacity he has done personal armed protection for Sergey Brin, Meadowlark Lemon, Mark Hurd and many others. John is certified as a teacher for hand held weapons, protection of home and the workplace through the environment, and run-hide-fight the workplace defense class.  He's also certified to help schools, businesses and churches put security plans in place. He has taught hundreds of employees the art of self preservation through action and is currently an active member of the Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association.
